Keele Conferences has launched an innovative new marketing initiative to ensure people know exactly where to find them, after finding that despite people knowing the venue is in Staffordshire, they are not sure exactly where Keele is!

The conferences and events team, based at Keele University in Staffordshire, regularly find that many people are unaware that the university's range of conference and event facilities are located in an inspiring rural setting, right in the heart of the country.

Marcus Wilson, Deputy Head of Keele Conferences, comments: "The map mailer idea is one we will use to reach potential new clients, and to make sure they know exactly where we are - the last thing we want is for people to be put off because they don't know where to find us!

"Despite being on a main transport route just off the M6 and therefore a lot easier to reach than a city-centre venue, the majority of people from outside the region don't know where Keele is, and in some cases have not even heard of it! We want to use the map as fun way of grabbing people's attention, whilst also letting them know of the range of flexible spaces we have on offer, and exactly where we are!"

Keele Conferences, located 2 miles west of Newcastle-under-Lyme, offers a wide range of impressive venues for meetings, conference and events including the Chancellor's Building, the Exhibition Hall, the Sports Centre and over 20 large syndicate rooms, whilst also boasting the largest conference and banqueting venue in Staffordshire .

The Keele Conferences map mailer will be mailed out to over 2000 businesses over the next few months, and to celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2010, Keele Conferences is offering the magnificent Keele Hall at the special day delegate rate of just £40 including VAT.
