Registrations up for the Academic Venue Show
March 2010

The VENUEMASTERS team is pleased to announce that there has been a great response to this year's promotional campaign for the 2010 Academic Venue Show and registrations are currently up on last year. The free event takes place on Wednesday 12 May at the Emirates Stadium in London, home of Arsenal Football Club.

The theme for 2010 is ‘bright ideas for your next event' and the show will feature over 40 exhibitors from top UK academic venues and a captivating seminar programme. The keynote speaker for the event is Ruby Wax and Mike Lyon and Peter Rand will also be presenting.

Academic venues offer very competitive rates with an average Day Delegate Rate of £34 and can be found in locations across the UK, from city centre to rural and coastal settings. They offer a range of flexible facilities from seminar rooms for 10 people to lecture theatres for 1,000.

The VENUEMASTERS team is also pleased to welcome a new member venue, also exhibiting at the event. The University of St Andrews will join the consortium in April and are pleased to announce the exciting £45 million pound New School of Medicine which opens in June 2011. The venue offers state of the art AV, a large auditorium, innovative spaces and a large flat floored exhibition area. Attendees at the show have a unique opportunity to receive a 10% pre-opening discount for all residential conference bookings made before the end of August 2010.

Other promotions from exhibitors include the University of York who are celebrating their Ruby Anniversary of holding events. Visit stand 31 and any enquiries taken on the day will receive a fantastic 10% discount. Visitors could be in with a chance of winning a ruby themed hamper including a ruby ipod nano in a free prize draw.

The London group of venues will also be offering visitors to the event the opportunity to enter a free prize draw for the chance to win £100 of High Street Vouchers. There are 11 London venues exhibiting at the event with sites located across the capital.

VENUEMASTERS Chief Executive, Terry Billingham, commented; "Registrations for this year's show are going really well, and there's a real buzz about the event. The appeal of academic venues is increasing as event organisers recognise their benefits such as great value for money, excellent service and easily accessible locations. We're all looking forward to another busy show."

The show website contains details of the itinerary for the day including location and access information, visitor testimonials, plus a DVD and images of the 2009 show. Visit www.academicvenueshow.co.uk or call 0114 249 3090 to register.
