Record breaking July for Well Met Conferencing
July 2010
In January this year, Well Met Conferencing at Leeds Met University, was already fully booked in July at its pioneering centre, Carnegie Village. Just a few months on, the entire venue portfolio is experiencing a bumper month of bookings for July with £333,000 worth of events secured.
As well as the events secured at Carnegie Village, which include the Language Study Centre,
Rugby Football Union and the Leisure Studies Association, Well Met's residential facility Queenswood has eight South African tri-athletes who have chosen Well Met for their world-class sporting facilities at Carnegie. The Old School Board will also play host to an Institute of Directors conference.
At Well Met's flagship venue, The Rose Bowl, a wide variety of events have been secured ranging from the National Housing Federation, West Yorkshire Probationary Service and HM Courts Service to the City Learning Centres and the Sports Science Conference. The Rose Bowl alone will welcome over 400 hundred delegates into the city in July.
Kate Picher, Business Development Manager for Well Met Conferencing, said:
"We were delighted when Carnegie Village was already booked to capacity for July at the start of 2010 but to experience such a bumper month across all our venues in such a difficult economic period is fantastic. Well Met offers such a wide and varied range of conference and events venues that it gives us the flexibility to attract all types of organisers."
