Three Lions Compete at Warwick

Warwick Conferences and the Sports department at the University of Warwick have this month hosted a six-day, under 23 Women's International Football Tournament, at the University's Football Centre.
The special four-team friendly saw England take on Sweden, Norway and USA at the University's five star Cryfield sports pitches, in preparation for their upcoming competitive tournaments.
Whilst no title was at stake for the England team, pride and a desire to exceed the efforts of the men's World Cup squad meant the mini-tournament certainly had a competitive element. All four teams faced each other in a league format, with the USA being named the overall winner.
During the tournament, University of Warwick employees, staff from the Football Association and delegates staying at Warwick Conferences' Training and Conference Centres were invited to spectate and to enjoy arrival drinks and nibbles laid on by Warwick Conferences. As the official caterer for the duration of the event, Warwick Conferences also hosted post match drinks and food for each of the 56 guests.
Visitors watching the tournament and requiring overnight accommodation were able to enjoy a luxury stay at one of the three residential training and conferences centres.
