Event Exeter to offer grounds tours to groups
July 2010
Event Exeter are delighted to announce that they will soon be able to offer Grounds Tours to groups staying on campus.
Set in 300 acres of woodlands and landscaped gardens, the Streatham
Campus is recognised as one of the most beautiful and interesting
botanical gardens of any British university.
Established in the 1860's by the Veitch Family, the gardens are a veritable
feast of trees, shrubs and plants from across the globe. The campus itself
features lakes, parkland, woodland and gardens, interspersed with rare species
of all varieties.
Led by an experienced guide, groups not only have the opportunity to take in
a selection of the wonderful plant collection, but also gain a unique insight into
the history of the University grounds.
Guided tours normally last between 60-90 minutes but bespoke tours can be
arranged to acccommodate specific groups needs/interests.
