Growth at the Royal Agricultural College
January 2011
The Royal Agricultural College will soon have a brand new building on campus which will give the venue state-of-the-art rooms for meetings and conferences plus there are also plans to develop new accommodation for summertime guests.
The new build is a major investment in state-of-the-art teaching facilities, which will provide seven lecture rooms and four teaching support rooms, all based around a central, natural light atrium. Set for completion by Easter 2011, it should also allow greater flexibility for our conferences and business meeting clients this year.
The £1.4m building is part of £3.5m of developments taking place around the campus, making it the largest capital development project undertaken in the College's history. Future projects include updated student residences, providing more value-for-money summer accommodation for special interest groups and holidaymakers, with glorious views over open countryside.
Alongside this we also boast a dedicated business centre in our 16th Century farmhouse, with a suite of fully-equipped meeting rooms for business meetings, training seminars or team building days. It provides an ideal setting for 25-30 delegates, with overnight accommodation available all year round in rooms within the historic main building.
