Launch of New Academic Venue Show Website
January 2011
The brand new Academic Venue Show website has gone live and visitors can now register online at www.academicvenueshow.co.uk to attend this free event which is being held on Wednesday 11 May 2011 at the Emirates Stadium in London.
‘Puzzled by venue finding?' is the theme for 2011 and we are aiming to help event organisers find a solution. The show will feature over 40 exhibitors from top academic venues in the UK & Europe plus a captivating seminar programme. The team is excited to announce that the keynote speaker for the event is former political advisor, Alastair Campbell.
Alastair Campbell is a writer, communicator and strategist best known for his role as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair's spokesman, press secretary and director of communications and strategy. Still active in Labour politics, he now splits his time between writing, speaking, charitable fundraising, politics and campaigns. The opening speaker for the event is Austen Hawkins, who has a wealth of experience in the events industry and is currently CEO at FaceTime, Events Industry Alliance and F2F Events.
The exhibiting venues will be promoting the wide range of meeting and group accommodation facilities they can offer event organisers at very competitive rates. The venues are from a variety of city centre, rural and coastal locations across the UK, and we are also pleased to announce a new member venue from the Republic of Ireland, the University of Limerick.
Due to popular demand, the event will once again be taking place at the stunning Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club. The new show website contains details of the itinerary for the day including seminar times, location and access information, visitor testimonials, plus a DVD and images of last year's show to give visitors a flavour of the event.
VENUEMASTERS Chief Executive, Terry Billingham, says; ‘we are extremely excited about the 2011 exhibition. We have a great selection of venues exhibiting, including a number of new ones. The seminar speakers also add a learning element to the show and we have a fun feature which will allow visitors to win a mystery prize if they can complete a giant puzzle cube in less than three minutes...so we are looking forward to another successful event.'
