Well Met Conferencing a popular choice for language schools
March 2011
Well Met Conferencing's residential venue, Carnegie Village, will be packed to capacity this summer as over 400 students and 30 tutors from Language Study Centres descend on the Centre for the second year running.
Following a great summer in 2010 the Language Study Centres chose to return to the Well Met accommodation this year. The students and staff will enjoy full board accommodation in Carnegie Village as well as all meals, class rooms, sporting facilities and the student union bar.
Glenn Jones, UK & USA Operations Manager for Language Study Centres said:
"Carnegie Village proved to be extremely popular with groups from Italy & Russia in 2010. The combination of excellent campus facilities, high class accommodation and fantastic choice of excursion destinations meant that it only made sense to return and expand in 2011."
He added:
"The internationality mix is going to get much more varied with a lot of interest from Greek, Spanish and Turkish markets hoping to join us. We hope to offer our clients in 2011 the same fantastic experience groups had in 2010."
Language Study Centres have been operating residential language courses for foreign teenagers in the UK since 1999. In 2010 the Centres collaborated with Leeds Met to introduce a course town in Leeds for the ever expanding global market.
Kate Pitcher, Business Development Manager for Well Met Conferencing, said:
"We are delighted that Language Study Centres are returning to Well Met for the second consecutive year. Carnegie Village provides the ideal location for residential conferences and study schools as the Centre provides self-contained accommodation, lecture rooms and sports facilities, all set in 100 acres of parkland."
She added:
"It was great to see the students enjoying the campus and all it has to offer in 2010. They all wanted to take home a Leeds Met hoodie to remind them of their experience. Located close to the vibrant town of Headingley and just a few minutes from Leeds City Centre, Carnegie Village really is perfect for the students who attend."
